Lawrence University has recognized 732 students for academic achievement by naming them to the 2017-18 dean's list. Students must maintain a minimum 3.4 grade point average for the entire academic year to qualify for dean's list honors.

On Saturday August 18th, 2018 74 upper class students led over 250 first-year UVM students as they began their University of Vermont experience through TREK, a unique, 7-day first year enrichment program sponsored by UVM's Department of Student Life. For 39 years, UVM's TREK program has sent new students all over the state of Vermont to explore the region's wilderness, develop leadership skills, and work on community service projects. TREK is one of the biggest and most diverse new-student, collegiate, community building programs in the northeast region. Known as TREK leaders, these students provided and maintained a safe, healthy and supportive group atmosphere for their student participants while exploring the expansive outdoor environments of northern Vermont and it's neighboring states through both Wilderness and Service TREK programs.

Bates College graduated 473 students from 39 states and 42 countries on May 27, 2018. Cumulatively, the Class of 2018 performed 82,000 hours of community service, exemplifying Bates' commitment to community learning and civic action.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire for the spring 2018 semester.

820 students have been named to the Plymouth State University President's List for the Spring 2018 semester. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 or better for the Spring 2018 semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.

224 students have been named to the Plymouth State University Dean's List for the Spring 2018 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.69 during the spring semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.

Miami University students who are ranked in the top three percent of undergraduate students within each division for second semester 2017-18 have been named to the president's list recognizing academic excellence.

Internships are field experiences designed to provide a student learning opportunity under collaborative supervision between Colby-Sawyer faculty, staff, and work site professionals. Internships offer opportunities for students to enhance their academic programs with work experience related to career interests in all industry areas in national and international settings.

The following students were named to the Castleton University President's List for the spring semester of the 2017-18 academic year. To qualify for this highest academic honor, the student must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 4.0.

The following students were named to the Castleton University Dean's List for the spring semester of the 2017-18 academic year. To qualify for this academic honor, the student must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 3.5.

The following students graduated from the University of New Hampshire in May 2018. Students who received the honor of summa cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.85-4.0; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.65-3.84; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.50-3.64. Students are only graduated after the Registrar's Office has certified that all degree requirements have been successfully completed. Participating in the commencement ceremony is the act of honoring and celebrating academic achievement.

Some 3,072 students were awarded degrees during the University of Vermont's 217th commencement ceremonies. Alexander Nemerov, alumnus and one of the nations' leading art historians and scholar of cultural history, delivered the address.

This year's graduate address was given by Marcia McNutt, president of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) and the first woman to serve in this role.

Miami University Students Study Abroad Winter 2018 Semester

The following students have been named to the dean's list at Bates College for the winter semester ending in April 2018.

Colby-Sawyer College recognizes 236 students for outstanding academic achievement during the 2018 spring semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours in graded courses.

The Academic Excellence Award is given annually to a student who is deemed the top student in his or her major.

The Castleton Triota Women's and Gender Studies Honor Society is a national academic and service-based honor society that recognizes academic excellence among its inductees.
